Year 2009, GMAWD celebrates its 20 years of remarkable service. One week activities were Blood Donation, Corporate Solidarity Program, Oratorical & On-the Spot Poster Making Contest, Inauguration of Mandarin Homes’ Mini Forest Park & Chess Park and Water & Environment Summit and GAD seminar on move (Men Opposed to Violence Everywhere). The 20 years of remarkable service and existence of GMAWD proves that another milestone has been achieved. It is manifested by its fast growing number of concessionaires and its capability to provide quality service at its best. That is why its management never stops upgrading the facilities such as improving the administration building for its employees and concessionaires, a suitable workplace to utilize the advanced technology. GMAWD acquired a 143 square meters lot at Block 4, Lot 13, Barangay Poblacion 2, GMA, Cavite adjacent to its existing office building. With the approval of the Board of Directors under Resolution No. 18 S. 2008, the construction of a three (3) storey building with roof deck as an extension of the administration building of GMA Water District is on-going and planned to be inaugurated in December, 2009. Advanced technology was implemented. System for meter reading, billing and collection. Implementation of Payroll System. Expansion line accomplishments as of October 2009 are as follows; 1. Ambugaw, Pasong Saging, Barangay Poblacion 5; near Ledesma-GMA Village pipelaying 5. Block 18 Barangay Delas Alas additional pipelaying at the area. 6. Block 8, Las Vegas Street, Barangay Lumbreras 7. Block 7, Barangay Poblacion 5 8. “Tamanli” Barangay Kua- expansion of additional 2 rolls of “PE pipe laid – total expansion PE pipe laid 900 meters 9. Block 5, Teodolfo Bautista Street Barangay Poblacion 1,250 linear meters pipelaying of 23 pcs. – 2”PVC & 3 pcs. – 2” GI pipes. 10.
