GMAWD 32nd Years of Committed Service

STRONGER, BOLDER, and LOUDER at 32

April 14-15, 2021– GMA Water District honored its 32 years of service with this year’s theme: 32-Taon ng Serbisyong GMAWD, Serbisyong Tapat. STRONGER, that even amidst pandemic they’ve never backed down on serving the concessionaires and the agency, though there were times they’ve been bombarded with hot waters, they never seize to offer their selfless benevolences to the community, and although mass gatherings are still restricted, the management found ways to commemorate together the 32 wonderful yet challenging years of GMAWD. Starting with the Thanksgiving Mass led by Rev. Fr. Dionisio Palingping and was attended by all of the employees. Fr. Palingping illuminated the reading for that day of the Lord’s providence and guidance towards His people. God has given His protection and set His Angels before them, defending them in the constant struggle against those who oppose them and persecute them. Just like when the Apostles held captive because they’d continued to preach the words of God, through their belief and prayers the Lord sent His Angel to free the Apostles, leading them out of the prison unharmed, Fr. Palingping connects it on how people threw accusations towards the agency yet GMAWD pushes through in giving its service of providing water to the town which Fr. Palingping speaks of as the right thing to do.  Truly there’s so much to be thankful for.

Over the past years, the commemoration was done in one venue where everybody watches and celebrated together but this year’s different. The management had prepared Anniversary Grocery Packs which were distributed to all the employees after the mass, the program continued with a simple meal sharing per division/department and to make it more inclusive while maintaining the minimum health protocols, each division was attuned online via Zoom and Facebook live to witness other division’s Salu-salo and the announcement of the awardees (getting a little used to the ‘new normal’ ey!). BOLDER, every year the management together with the Board of Directors accords employees for their efforts and contributions to the agency.
