A silver celebration of expertise, proficiency and commitment. Days had passed so fast and we can only imagine that we have come this far. After the years of challenges, hardships, opportunities, change and triumph in the competitive atmosphere of relevance and advancement, our main concern, the water that signifies life now turn to silver. Hence, the year 2014 marked the 25th Foundation Anniversary of General Mariano Alvarez Water District (GMAWD), General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite. Ms. Juliet M. Nacita, General Manager of GMAWD and the members of the Board of Directors headed by Dir. Michael I. Torres together with the GMAWD employees have put themselves together to give the best of their ability, talent, effort and dedication in bringing safe and rendering excellent service for twenty five years to the municipality of General Mariano Alvarez. Different programs were lined-up before and during the big day of the agency. Include the activities that were held in line with the celebration is a month-long Sport Fest 2014, a Mass Wedding, Thanksgiving Mass and Motorcade. A corporate Solidarity Night, the most awaited event, was held at the GMA Sports Complex last April 14, 2014. It was attended by LGU officials led by Mayor Walter D. Echevarria, Jr., Rep. Roy M. Loyola of the Fifth District of Cavite, who was represented by his wife, Mayor Dahlia A. Loyola, and GMAWD official and employees with their respective family members. One of the highlights of the Solidarity Night was the awarding of the Plaque of Recognition to former Directors and General Managers for their outstanding and remarkable contributions to the success of GMAWD. Also, the Loyalty Service Awards were handed out to deserving employees for their unwavering support and resilient service through the years for each division and the GMAWD Model Employee of the Year were likewise recognized. As GMAWD celebrates its 25th year in service and a partner in community growth and development through corporate social responsibility, it will exert its best effort to perform its mandate of providing safe and portable water to the residents of GMA even hundred years hereafter. As promise by GM Nacita, GMAWD will continue to shine even brighter in the coming years, against all odds, until we reach our ultimate goal, “Malusog na Mamamayan, Bungan g Maayos at Maunlad na Patubig ng Bayan.”
